We are recruiting for a Technical Sales Engineer for this leading manufacturer of industrial catalysts and speciality materials used in a wide arrange of applications across Oil & Gas, Petrochem/chemicals and Energy. They have a significant global presence and they are looking to expand their growing team in Asia Pacific (APAC) with this hire being crucial. We are looking for an experienced refining professional who has the motivation and personality to move into Technical Sales.

Job Roles:

  • Use of the Challenger Selling model to win opportunities
  • Work with internal technical teams to review unit start-ups, unit monitoring, catalyst lifetime prediction and troubleshooting
  • Opportunity pipeline identification, development and consistent management of the CRM
  • Work in the regional territory pursuing more business opportunities
  • Draft, negotiate, and implement all contracts, agreements, NDA’s, and compliance documents for assigned accounts
  • Accountable for the development and execution of the accounts plans for assigned accounts

Technical Sales Engineer Requirements:

  • Strong background in refinery operations, with a particular focus on Fluid Catalytic Cracking (FCC) unit
  • Experience in a customer facing position such as Sales or Technical Services
  • Solid understanding of culture and business practices within Asia Pacific region
  • Fluent English and Mandarin language skills
