Technical Sales Manager – Refining
Based in: DACH
Our client is a global leading player in the refining catalyst domain. The company has an excellent reputation for quality, investing significant resources into R&D. They have an established European team and are now looking for a Technical Sales Manager for refinery accounts in DACH. This role offers great potential for a technical specialist to diversify their experience in a applications focused position, with an interesting blend of technical consultancy and commercial activity.
The role will have a strong technical involvement e.g. advising customers on unit optimisation, technical support, troubleshooting etc. throughout a 3-5 year catalyst life cycle – previous direct sales experience is not essential, but the role will have an overall aim to retain and grow business in the region.
This role will be ideal for a technical specialist who has just moved (or is looking to move) to a customer facing environment, with a blend of technical and commercial activity.
- Proven experience of refinery processes such as distillation, hydrogenation, hydrotreatment, FCC, CCR platforming etc.
- 3 + years experience in operations
- Excellent communication skills both German and English
- Commercial negotiation and pricing background would be beneficial
